Ava Chambers: President
she/her
Meet Ava Chambers, president of WOLI. She's originally from Littleton Colorado, and is studying Kinesiology and looking to pursue a career in medicine. When she's not spending hours cooped up in the campus library you'll find Ava Scoping out lines in the backcountry, climbing in the Cottonwoods, in the gym, or up at Alta. Her passion for health and wellness translates to everything she does, whether that be flowing through yoga or coking nutritious meals with her roommates.
Her most memorable moment with WOLI was participating in an Avalanche 1 course last winter and watching everyone overcome so many personal barriers.

Noga Tal: Vice President
she/her
Meet Noga Tal, vice president of WOLI. She's a junior studying Civil and Environmental Engineering plus a minor in Environmental Studies. Noga is a first generation from Portland Oregon. Her favorite outdoor activities are skiing and hiking unless it's Donut Falls.
Her favorite WOLI memory is the camping and climbing trip in Southern Utah last spring. She created incredible friendships while climbing and cowboy camping under the crazy cool stars.

Izzy Chick: Treasurer

Meet Izzy Chick, Treasurer of WOLI. Izzy is a senior, studying environmental studies and political science. She plans on attending law school to pursue water law after graduation. Her love for outdoor recreation originated in Wenatchee, Washington, where she attended high school. The outdoor recreation opportunities in Salt Lake City were what drew her to attend undergraduate at the U.
Her favorite WOLI memory is getting her AVY 1 certification from the club in 2024. A WOLI scholarship enabled her to participate in this course and it made her feel so empowered to be learning life-saving backcountry skills surrounded by a group of all women.

Lucy Peifer: Outreach Coordinator
she/her
Meet Lucy, Outreach Coordinator for WOLI. Lucy was born and raised in Salt Lake. She is majoring in nursing and minoring in environmental studies. Some of her passions include music, climbing, traveling, and being outside with friends.
Her favorite WOLI memory was the slackline and pancakes event the club hosts at the beginning of each school year. She loves how good it feels to get people together and be outside, even if it's for a short evening after a long school day.

Grace Christiansen: Secretary
she/her
Meet Grace, Secretary for WOLI. Grace is studying business administration with a minor in environmental studies. She hopes to build a career strategizing and advising businesses on ethical sustainable practices. Her favorite activity to do in the outdoors is hiking. She is always inspired by how beautiful and peaceful it is to be out in nature.
Her favorite WOLI memory was the Outdoor Stewardship Panel in Spring of 2025. She says it was fascinating listening to the speakers and their perspectives on how to ethically practice outdoor stewardship.

Hailey Henkenius: Social Media Coordinator
she/her
Meet Hailey Henkenius, Social Media Coordinator for WOLI. She is from Flagstaff, Arizona and is in her 3rd year studying Psychology at the U! If it's warm enough, you'll definitely find her sunbathing next to a body of water, but otherwise she loves skiing, hiking, and river rafting!
Her favorite WOLI memory was from the climbing trip in Veyo last fall. She created great friendships and felt very inspired by overcoming her fear of heights while surrounded by an amazing and supportive group of gals!!

Cassia Tackett: Trip Coordinator
she/they
Meet Cassia, Trip Coordinator for WOLI. Cassia is a senior in civil/environmental engineering and hopes to use her political science minor to work in environmental justice activism. She grew up in Seattle, where she backpacked, sea kayaked, and was an Eagle Scout. She was drawn to Utah for its skiing and beautiful mountains.
One of her favorite WOLI experiences was coming back from her first WOLI trip her freshman year and realizing she had made some incredible and long-lasting friendships on the trip.
